Mya Daniel

Mya Daniel is a household name in Barbados. She is renowned for powerful, soul-stirring music-ministry both locally and abroad. In 1998, we almost lost this national treasure to a life-threatening illness, but with the outpouring of prayers, and the faith of many, God miraculously raised her up for such a time as this! She continues to share her testimony and declare God’s goodness with her ever-popular songs such as “I’ve Got to Love Him Back”, released as part of her multi-genre gospel album “With Every Breath: I Testify”.

Mya has graced the stages of Barbados Gospelfest, Tobago International Gospelfest, Caribbean Week New York, Barbados Gospelfest (Montreal) and the World Outreach Ministries Conference 2008 featuring Bishop T.D. Jakes, to name a few. She has opened events for international recording gospel artistes such as Alvin Slaughter and Judy Jacobs, and has been called upon at the national, regional and international level on innumerable occasions over the years to share her gift and ministry.

This multi-award-winning gospel music minister is also an Attorney-at-Law with over 19 years of experience. She is a Certified Professional Mediator, worship team trainer, a wife, and mother. From the tender age of two and a half years old to the present, Mya believes that her rounded musical journey, which has included seasons with numerous choirs and vocal groups among them, the New Testament Soul Children, the Barbados Mass Choir, the New Testament National Chorale and Flame Award winning group Samara Ministries, has shaped her into the ever evolving woman and artiste she is today.
